Warning – this article contains spoilers!
When you reflect on the past seasons of Love Is Blind, watching season 6 feels like something is missing. Typically, the focus of each season is the idea of dating for marriage, whereas this season didn’t follow the same path as its predecessors.
Even though this is true, I still think you need to watch LIB season 6 for these reasons.

Loveable Parents
In many of the seasons, there have been parents that stole the show. Kenny and Kelly’s parents from season one definitely did that. Love Is Blind (LIB) gives parents the airtime to share their relationship wisdom with their children, prospective in-laws and, of course, us the audience.
Watching the exchange, during season 6, between AD and Clay with their mothers, Jacqueline and Margarite respectively, was one of the things that made the show worth watching.
Hearing their thoughts on marriage, self-sabotage and giving your partner grace was inspiring. Gaining wisdom like this is something that cannot be overlooked, especially in this day and age when social media has skewed many people’s ideas of what a relationship looks like.
The Brotherhood
In episode ten, Clay and AD are talking about marriage, and within this discussion, Clay talks about an episode of LIB that he had recently watched. He describes a good example of a man and husband he saw while watching. In the reunion, he reveals the person he was talking about in episode ten was Brett from season 4 (a fan favourite).
This revelation turns into a heartwarming moment in the reunion where the two men share a moment of vulnerability with one another. Men allowing themselves to be vulnerable, is something that LIB is not shy in showing and this moment is so wholesome, it’s worth navigating through the drama of the reunion to witness it.
Keeping It PG
Although Brittany and Kenneth’s relationship didn’t lead to them getting married. There is so much that can be said about these two.
By the time the honeymoon is almost over, most couples in LIB have slept with each other. And it’s clear that when the couples reunite at the honeymoon reunion, this topic can be a point of peer pressure and concern.
However, Brittany and Kenneth’s convictions in knowing what was right for them and waiting until marriage turned out to be the right decision, as their relationship did not end in a romantic success. It’s so easy for anyone to make a decision based on what it seems like the masses think and do, and it’s so refreshing to see two individuals make decisions based on their lifestyle and religious beliefs instead of what the societal expectation is.
Past Success
Last but not least, the season 6 reunion gave the viewers one thing we all needed: reflection.
We had multiple moments to reflect on the successful couples that tried out the social experiment and found love, including season 6’s Amy and Johnny who even after a year of marriage still seem smitten with each other. The reunion also gave us a few nuggets, including information about which couples are expecting a baby too.
That sheer reminder of the successes during the current and past LIB seasons is one thing that will keep people watching (and will make sure they tune into the UK version of Love Is Blind that is coming soon). Despite the rollercoaster, the show still reminds the viewers that love is truly, in some shape or form, still blind.
The loveable parents and the past success are some of the reasons why you need to watch LIB season 6.
I’ll be watching the next season, will you?
